Saturday Work and BBQ Parties

This past Saturday (March 21) was a busy one for the Minden Soaring Club. The afternoon before, several people helped to clean out the Club Hangar (& Office) to prepare for Saturday. We made an announcement on WhatsApp and via Constant Contact just the day before, and yet we had an excellent turnout of our hard-core supporters.

Our goal was to work on the Staging Office. The plan is for it to have air conditioning, a bathroom, office space, and a sunshade located conveniently just off our staging area. The team put several hours into this effort, and it’s almost ready.

Spontaneous BBQ Party

After the work party was completed, most people retired to the Club Hangar for a BBQ. Bob Trumbly provided the meat that Tom and Janice smoked. Spirits were high, and the festivities were merry. It’s great to see the club firing on all cylinders.
