Minden Soaring Club, Inc.

We are excited to offer the Minden Soaring Club Gold Season Pass to the dedicated and passionate glider pilots of the Carson Valley and beyond. Although the benefits are designed to be valuable for pass holders, the commitment of club members helps the club with cash balances typically at the beginning of the soaring season when Gold Pass Members are expected to sign up. The program is intended for members who own their own gliders and will be seeking multiple tows during the year.

The Season Pass covers an entire calendar year (January 1 to December 31) and can be purchased at any time during the year for $4000.

The Gold Season Pass Holder is intended for members who own their own gliders and are expecting to make numerous tows during the upcoming soaring season. Each guest who purchases a season pass or has a pass purchased and assigned to their name or their aircraft shall be referred to as a “Gold Season Pass Holder for the following terms and conditions:

1. Gold Season Passes are issued to the member only. The member acknowledges and agrees that the pass is nontransferable and nonrefundable, FOR ANY REASON.

2. The Gold Season Pass Holder fully understands that violating any of the rules and regulations of the Minden Soaring Club may be cause for suspension or permanent revocation of his/her pass. In addition to suspension or revocation of a pass, violations may also result in the member being subject to criminal charges under Nevada and/or Federal Law. Some of the actions that may result in a suspension or revocation include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Reckless or dangerous/careless handling of gliders or equipment, both while on the ground or while in flight.

• Collision with or damage to other pilots and/or gliders caused by the Gold Season Pass Holder’s negligence.

• Intoxication or drug use at any time Gold Season Pass Holder is involved in the operation of gliders, or glider-related equipment, particularly in active airport environments.

• The use of profanity, slurs, and vulgar, hostile, or abusive language towards any patron, invitee or employee of the Minden Soaring Club.

• Harassment, hindrance, or obstruction of patrons, invitees or employees of the Minden Soaring Club.

• Any fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorized use of the season pass.

• Vandalism or theft of airport and/or Minden Soaring Club property by Gold Season Pass Holder.

3. The Gold Season Pass Holder agrees to follow the Minden-Tahoe airport rules and regulations regarding safe transport and the operation of glider and glider-related equipment while on the airport premises.

4. Gold Season Passes are issued solely for the private use and enjoyment of the member. The Gold Season Pass Holder may not use their pass for business purposes of any nature and shall not conduct any business or solicit business of any nature without the prior approval of the Minden Soaring Club.

5. The Gold Season Pass Holder acknowledges and agrees that he/she assumes the risk of variable conditions. No guarantee or promises for the conditions or the days of operation are made to the member. The Gold Pass holder must understand that the operation may not be possible during certain periods of time due to extreme weather, natural disasters, and other unforeseen events (such as wildfires). The Gold Season Pass holder is not eligible for any compensation or refund for condition-related closures or stoppages.
